 Fuel oil is used commonly for burning in furnaces, boilers, stoves and lanterns to generate heat. It comprises of long hydrocarbon chains, such as alkanes, aromatics and cycloalkanes. Fuel oil has many different names but the most commonly used terms are: Diesel fuel. 

 Gasoline blend stocks are complex mixtures, obtained from crude oil in a refinery distillation process, that become part of the gasoline blend pool. These feedstocks are clear liquids with an aromatic odor. 

 Base oils define the inherent properties of the finished product, including viscosity, stability/longevity, and load-bearing capacity (the ability to withstand extreme pressures). 

 EN 590 Gas Oil is a 10 ppm (parts per million) sulphur content gas oil. EN 590 is the current standard for all automotive diesel fuel sold in the European Union member states and other European countries. This grade of fuel is also called ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD) 

 Jet fuel or aviation turbine fuel is a type of aviation fuel designed for use in aircraft powered by gas-turbine engines. It is colorless to straw-colored in appearance. The most commonly used fuels for commercial aviation are Jet A and Jet A-1, which are produced to a standardized international specification. 

  LNG is natural gas that has been cooled to –260° F (–162° C), changing it from a gas into a liquid that is 1/600th of its original volume. This dramatic reduction allows it to be shipped safely and efficiently aboard specially designed LNG vessels.
